A New Approach
Military Aviation Art that tells a Story
Jet Art Gallery was born from an idea to tell military aviation stories through the medium of art and the written word.
Since the end of World War Two, huge steps have not only been taken in the innovation and development of aircraft but also in the pilots that test and fly them operationally. We often see aircraft and pilots at Airshows performing aerobatics for the crowd and some of our images reflect the precision in which those aircraft are flown.
For example, our very own national aerobatic team the Red Arrows, is made up of experienced front line pilots that often have in excess of 1500 hours on front line fighters, in defence of UK airspace and her interests.
We want to bring to life stories that are equally as important as the Battle of Britain, The Dambusters and D-Day and help inspire the next generation by engaging with our current and recent past whilst paying our respects to what many deem was the golden generation.
To help us in our mission we are working with renowned artists such as Michael Rondot, himself a distinguished pilot during the Gulf War One, and other leading artists such as Philip E West and Anthony Saunders. We could not miss out who many deem as the master in aviation art in Robert Taylor who sadly passed away in early 2024 and his son Richard who is carving out a reputation for his outstanding pencil art.
Join us on on a journey of exploration as we tell military aviation stories through art.
