Endless Summer – The Story Behind the Print
Anthony Saunders’s Endless Summer depicts squadron Leader Sandy Johnstone leads No. 602 Squadron’s Spitfires across Chichester Harbour towards RAF Westhampnett after intercepting enemy raiders threatening Portsmouth in summer 1940.
The harbour and the village of Bosham provide a peaceful backdrop to a return from combat during the increasingly intense Battle of Britain.
Available as a limited-edition lithograph in the print formats listed below. All editions are subject to availability; original pencil remarques are prepared to order.
