Avro Lancaster

Avro Lancaster Aviation Art

The Avro Lancaster became the RAF’s best-known four-engine heavy bomber of the Second World War. Its large bomb bay allowed it to carry a wide range of conventional and specialist weapons, and the aircraft formed a major part of RAF Bomber Command’s night offensive over occupied Europe and Germany.

The Lancaster is particularly associated with No. 617 Squadron and Operation Chastise, the 1943 Dambusters raid. JET Art Gallery’s Lancaster collection includes limited edition aviation prints depicting aircraft, crews and operations from Bomber Command history, with selected editions carrying veteran and aircrew signatures.
