Blackburn Buccaneer

Blackburn Buccaneer Aviation Art

The Blackburn Buccaneer was designed as a carrier-based, low-level maritime strike aircraft for the Royal Navy before also entering Royal Air Force service. Its strong airframe, rotating bomb bay and boundary-layer-control system were developed to support demanding low-level and carrier operations.

RAF Buccaneers later served in the overland strike role and deployed to the 1991 Gulf War, where they used Pave Spike laser-designator pods in support of precision attacks. JET Art Gallery’s Buccaneer collection includes limited edition prints covering Royal Navy and RAF service, with selected editions signed by Buccaneer pilots and aircrew.
