Description

Canberra Tribute – The Story Behind the Print

Michael Rondot’s Canberra Tribute celebrates two contrasting versions of the English Electric Canberra. The B2 is shown taking off in brilliant sunshine while the powerful PR9 appears against a backdrop of storm clouds.

The Canberra first flew on 13 May 1949 and went on to complete more than 50 years of RAF service. Rondot’s composition brings the bomber and reconnaissance sides of the aircraft’s story together in a single painting.

The edition is limited to 300 signed and numbered copies, including artist’s proofs, remarques and canvas prints. All are artist signed, with a small number also carrying the signature of Canberra test pilot Roland Beamont, subject to availability.
