Harrier Boys: Volume Two continues Bob Marston’s history of the Harrier community, covering the period from 1990 to 2010.
The book follows changes in the aircraft, its weapons and its tactics as RAF and Royal Navy Harriers adapted to a new operational environment after the Cold War.
Its scope includes operations in Iraq, Bosnia, Kosovo, Sierra Leone and Afghanistan, together with the development of the Sea Harrier FA2 and the closer integration of RAF and Royal Navy Harrier forces.
The 224-page paperback takes the story through to the withdrawal of the UK Harrier fleet in 2010, complementing Volume One’s coverage of the earlier Cold War and Falklands period.
