The Harrier family became famous for its ability to operate using vertical or short take-offs and landings, made possible by the Rolls-Royce Pegasus vectored-thrust engine. RAF Harriers served in ground-attack and close-air-support roles, while the Royal Navy’s Sea Harrier provided fleet air defence from aircraft carriers.
The Sea Harrier saw significant combat during the 1982 Falklands War, and later generations of Harrier continued in British service on operations overseas. JET Art Gallery’s Harrier collection features limited edition prints covering RAF and naval variants, with selected editions signed by pilots and aircrew associated with the aircraft.
