Mutual Support – The Story Behind the Print

Mutual Support captures RF-4C Phantoms during Operation Desert Storm, when the 152nd Tactical Reconnaissance Group operated from Sheikh Isa Air Base in Bahrain.

The unit flew 290 combat missions during the operation, making the RF-4C and its reconnaissance crews part of the air campaign over the Gulf.

A particularly important feature of this edition is its connection with the people who flew those missions. The artist’s proofs and remarque editions are signed by all 24 RF-4C Phantom II aircrew from the 152nd Tactical Reconnaissance Group, 192nd TRS, Reno ANG, who flew the aircraft in combat during the Gulf War.
