Behind the lead Phantom, other crews continue their attack as explosions mark the target area. The painting forms the third and final follow-up to Taylor’s earlier Phantom editions, Phantom Strike and Phantom Showtime.
The F-4 became one of the defining American combat aircraft of the Vietnam era, serving in both air-to-air and ground-attack roles.
Every print in the edition carries two named signatures: Brigadier General Richard “Steve” Ritchie and Captain John Madden, both associated with the “Triple Nickel” combat community represented by the artwork.
