Coltishall – End Of The Line: The Story Behind the Print

Michael Rondot’s Coltishall – End Of The Line records the atmosphere of a working RAF Jaguar flightline as the station approached the end of its frontline era.

Behind the 41 Squadron engineering line building, a pair of Jaguars runs in for a farewell flyby. The original product record describes Coltishall as the last RAF station to operate three squadrons from flightlines in front of their squadron hangars and the last operational frontline former Battle of Britain fighter station.

The standard edition is artist signed. Artist’s Proofs and Remarque editions carry nine additional named signatures from senior officers and personnel associated with RAF Coltishall, all retained individually above.

The original product record also notes that these special editions were signed on Battle of Britain Day, 15 September 2005, during the final dining-in night at the Officers’ Mess.
