Robert Taylor’s Sea Harriers brings together the first two Sea Harriers to fly with 700A Squadron, the Royal Navy’s Sea Harrier trials unit commanded by Sharkey Ward.
The two aircraft are shown over Plymouth Harbour. Both subsequently served during the Falklands War, where the Sea Harrier became central to the air defence of the British Task Force.
The artwork provides a direct visual link between the aircraft’s introduction to Fleet Air Arm service and its later operational role in the South Atlantic.
Each print is personally signed by Sea Harrier pilot Lieutenant Commander Hugh Slade.
